The Pender Pines staff is hard at work picking the best plants for next year. If you would like to suggest a plant or plants for next year’s production, now is the time to let us know. Suggestions can be a variety such as a type of tomato or a plant we don’t grow now such as a perennial. Remember we also grow trees and shrubs and we would appreciate your suggestions of trees and shrubs.
In other news the resent rains have given lawns, trees and shrubs a real boost. Watch out for fungus problems that may pop up do to so many consecutive days of rain.
Our Mum crop looks terrific and we will begin putting out Mums for sale this week. The Poinsettias have been plant for the holiday season, as well as Cyclamens. We are busy re organizing our tree, shrub and perennial growing areas. Japanese Maples and Crape Myrtles have been planted for next year.
